The complete identity

One division. Five products. No sixth product pretending to be the boss.

The Critical Frame identifies the division. The humanistic ribbons continue to identify the products.

The Critical Frame system in one view.

Identity system

The frame organises the family. It does not compete with it.

The geometry is deliberately architectural, while the product marks remain warm, folded and human.

The Critical Frame

An open structure. One exact point of attention.

The frame represents governed infrastructure: enough structure to make difficult work manageable without pretending the system is the work. The pink diamond marks the point where attention, judgement or action is required.

Applications

A division lock-up, a product endorsement and five ribbons.

The complete lock-up belongs to division-level material. Product surfaces lead with the product identity and use the compact endorsement.

  • Shared-suite entrances and cross-product communication
  • Product endorsement beneath an existing product identity
  • First Principles Works portfolio material

Keep the boundary

Do not flatten the family

  • Do not replace a product ribbon with the Critical Frame
  • Do not recolour the frame with a product accent
  • Do not place a school crest inside the mark
  • Do not use colour as the only identifier
